Hawaiian Places

Oahu. The main, but not the biggest, Hawaiian Island. Honolulu, Pearl Harbor and many other famous places are located here.
Waikiki. The Tourism Center of Honolulu
The Pali. The main mountain range on Oahu
Kailua. A bedroom community, located on the windward side of Oahu, across the Pali Mountains from downtown Honolulu
Lanikai. A section of Kailua, located like a mile and a half long finger between the beach and the hills. The only entrance to Lanikai is from the road along Kailua Beach. Over the hill from Lanikai is Bellows Air Force Station, an R'nR' beach for US military families.
Punahou. A private school founded in 1841. Most locals consider Punahou to be the most prestigious school in Honolulu.
Punchbowl. The nickname of the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, the military cemetery situated in the mountains above downtown Honolulu.
