Crossing the Finish Line!
This was Sandy's first long race. To conserve her energy and find a comfortable pace,
she ran a steady and slow, apparently too slow, race. Coming down Diamond Head Road,
with one kilometer to go, she realized she had more strength and excess reserve.
She shifted into higher gear and started to overtake runners who were already spent.
This buoyed her enthusiasm and her pace increased. The last 100 meters,
with the finish clock visible, were her fastest. She broke into a dash. One by one,
she shot past the remaining six runners. A few meters from the green carpet
she caught the final runner. Excited, she gave it her all. She spurted across
the Finish Line just one foot ahead of her final competitor.

Relaxing after the Run!

Do your thing.
Do it for yourself,
and don't look back,

(Of course, be aware, if you do this,
Sandy may pass you in the final meter.)
