President Barack Obama returs to Hawaii on December 20, 2008 for his third to Honolulu in less than five months. This visit is for family. Family R'n'R and a promise he made to dying Toot, Barry's Grandmother.

The first visit was a family holiday in early August. The family spent nine days and stayed in a home on Kailua Beach. The second visit was an overnight visit on October 23rd, when he came to see and say goodbye to Toot, his ailing Grandmother. Toot died ten days later, on the evening of November 2nd, just two days before he won the Presidential election.
